Rochester, NY, April 2011 – A partnership between Rochester-based D.A. Smith and Associates and Millennium Strategies of Schenectady, NY was selected to provide technology consulting services for Phase I of the Rochester Schools Modernization Program (RSMP).
The Rochester Schools Modernization Program is a $1.2 billion, 15-year program to upgrade and improve school facilities, making it the largest public project in Rochester’s history. RSMP solicited proposals for a Technology Consultant to create a "District-wide Information Technology Infrastructure" that would ensure seamless technology integration in all schools, while also adhering to technology standards as set forth by the Rochester City School District.
"The partnership with Millennium made sense considering their successful track record providing these services for modernization programs in other major metropolitan school districts," said Del Smith, President of D.A. Smith & Associates.
Phase I of the program is estimated to total up to $325 million in bonded projects and include over $8.7 million in technology-related spending.
